Night
photography with skillfully –placed lighting can be very dramatic. Here photographer John Valentine uses
pyrotechnics to create stunning forms against a dramatic backdrop. These images combine flash, long exposure,
pyrotechnics and wonderful cloudy skies at night. While the overall techniques are simple, the
results never cease to awe and intrigue.
Complimenting vivid colors dominate these images. Secondly a strong sense of form and shape add
to the dominant artistic elements. While
these images don’t necessarily evoke any substantial meaning, I enjoy the art
for art’s sake. I think you might as
well.
