Kat Fisher submits Cornelia Hediger #2

Cornelia Hediger's work Doppelgänger and Doppelgänger II have been very inspirational for my own works. In these images she takes several photos of herself as different characters and then re-assembles them back into a larger image. The fact that she keeps the black diving lines is very aesthetically pleasing to me. The images are not all from the same distance or angles, and she doesn't try to hide this fact, she exaggerates it. For example, in the image above those knees and legs! The way the body is broken up and then remains disjointed even when it pieced back together is absolutely beautiful.
In her newer works "The future is cancelled" and "Exit" she abandons this technique. I understand moving onto something new so that the work does not become one note. However I'm not entirely sold on the wicked witch of the west legs that continually appear in "The future is cancelled."
