Christopher Ramirez reviews Vik Muniz

Vik Muniz had an art exhibition in Tokyo, Japan from September 14 – November 4, 2017 titled “Handmade” at Nichido Contemporary Art. Vik Muniz enjoys creating things with found materials, which he uses in order to recreate famous pieces of art. This exhibition is field with pieces generally the same size and every piece is exploding with color that pops off the piece. Each work is field with multiple colors in various shapes, sizes and forms. These pieces are each cut out and built in layers in order to give it a 3-dimensional which helps the color pop even more off the piece. Although very simple these pieces are very elegant and are pleasing to the eye. Despite the bright and vivid colors nothing in any of these pieces are too over distracting with gives every piece a nice calming flow.
