The Indigenous Gaze by Augustine Chavez

The human face always feels to work best with any form of visual communication. Although we humans have been on this world for many years, there is always something new and mysterious about every face we see. The work of Luis Gonzalez Palma brings the viewers to a world of portraits about the indigenous peoples of Guatemala. Luis Gonzalez Palma is from Guatemala and focuses on the human gaze of the Mayas. His process is done by staining his photographs. His work focuses on the gaze to express the pain the people have gone through and continue to go through.
